About the role:
The Customs Analyst EMEA performs Customs activities within EMEA region and is reporting to the Senior Manager Customs and Trade Europe. In this role, you'll be responsible for collecting and verifying customs documentation and flows, helping to improve processes and minimize customs-related risks. Compliance is an important part of the position, including supporting customs audits, ensuring timely reporting to customs authorities, and providing guidance on the customs impact of business decisions. Building strong relationships with external customs brokers will also be key. Additionally, the jobholder will have a central role in the quarterly pro-active controls of the documentation chain from export documentation till VAT declaration. This function will work in close collaboration with the Customs authorities, EMEA VAT analysts, External brokers and SSC Finance departments. This function will be informed and support in projects (new business flows, eg. Brexit, brokerage improvements, AEO processes, …) in order to make sure that Customs flows are correctly maintained.
