Job Description

About the role and team

Community Operations at Uber is where real people solve real problems in real time. The Learning Team provides strategic development opportunities to build the knowledge and skills necessary to empower a customer-obsessed organization. We bridge the digital and real worlds by developing curricula and deploying instructor-led trainings across the customer support network to ensure excellence is the norm.

This role is for those who thrive in an intense, fast-paced environment where the stakes are high and answers aren't always clear. You will need to balance empathy with action, moving with urgency and care to help our agents grow through the challenge. If you are sharp, steady, and motivated by helping others do career-defining work, this is where you will grow.

What you’ll do

  • Teach “train the trainer” trainings to turn uncertainty into clarity through speed and sound judgment.
  • Analyze, design, and build simple learning experiences modified for region, ensuring performance and scale are never separated.
  • Align learning experiences to objectives rooted in Adult Learning Principles and Instructional Design to solve messy, high-impact problems.
  • Work with SMEs and cross-functional partners to identify learning needs and resolve blockers in a fast-changing environment.
  • Create SOP (standard operating procedure) trainings for new businesses or vendor needs while navigating shifting priorities.
  • Own your work end-to-end, from the first design doc to delivering practical solutions that move the business forward.
  • Communicate clearly and stay resilient when navigating internal complexity to deliver solutions that scale.

Basic Qualifications

  • Native Fluency in Traditional Mandarin.
  • At least 2 years of experience in training or development.
  • Previous facilitation and presentation experience.
  • Professional experience in business or creative writing.
  • Experience in learning design or graphic design.
  • Relevant training certifications or equivalent professional credentials.
  • High school diploma or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Systems thinking mindset with the ability to navigate constant change and high ambiguity.
  • Proven stakeholder management and project management skills in a global environment.
  • Resilience and the ability to stay sharp and think critically while managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience working cross-functionally to influence without authority and achieve shared goals.

Ready to Ride?

This isn't the kind of place where you follow a playbook — it's where you help write one. If you're driven by impact, energized by challenge, and ready to shape how the world moves — we'd love to hear from you.

You may be eligible for bonuses, equity, and other compensation, as well as a range of benefits. Explore our benefits.

Offices remain key to collaboration and Uber's culture. Unless approved for full remote work, employees must spend at least 50% of their time in-office. Some roles, like those at greenlight hubs, require full-time in-office presence. Ask your Recruiter for details about this role's requirements.

About Uber

We are Uber. The go-getters. The kind of people who are relentless about our mission to help people go anywhere and get anything and earn their way. Movement is what we power. It’s our lifeblood. It runs through our veins. It’s what gets us out of bed each morning. It pushes us to constantly reimagine how we can move better. For you. For all the places you want to go. For all the things you want to get. For all the ways you want to earn. Across the entire world. In real time. At the incredible speed of now.

The idea for Uber was born on a snowy night in Paris in 2008, and ever since then our DNA of reimagination and reinvention carries on. We’ve grown into a global platform powering flexible earnings and the movement of people and things in ever expanding ways. We’ve gone from connecting rides on 4 wheels to 2 wheels to 18-wheel freight deliveries. From takeout meals to daily essentials to prescription drugs to just about anything you need at any time and earning your way. From drivers with background checks to real-time verification, safety is a top priority every single day. At Uber, the pursuit of reimagination is never finished, never stops, and is always just beginning.
