About the role

We are delighted to offer a new opportunity for a Customer Support Officer to join the Guinness team in Oldham.

This full-time, up to 12 month Fixed term Contract role offers a 35-hour working week and a hybrid working arrangement, giving you the flexibility to balance office and home working.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who can provide tailored tenancy sustainment support to residents, helping them maximise income, access benefits, manage finances and maintain successful tenancies. Working closely with internal teams, local authorities and support agencies, you will offer expert advice, promote independence and provide help to improve resident wellbeing.

You will also be able to demonstrate these essential skills

Essential:

  • Proven experience of working closely with residents in the housing sector.
  • Proven knowledge of current welfare and housing benefits.
  • Experience and success of cross agency working to deliver positive results in a collaborative manner.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex information to colleagues and residents sufficiently to aid their understanding and actions.
  • Proven ability to advocate on behalf of the company and/or residents when dealing with local authorities and other benefit agencies.
  • Good administration skills.
  • Good oral and written communications.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.

Desirable:

  • Up to date knowledge of new initiatives in the housing sector.
  • Experience of providing cross-cutting services in the voluntary or statutory sector.
  • Knowledge of current thinking in the sustaining tenancies field.

A basic DBS check is required, which will be paid for by The Guinness Partnership.
