Job Description

At GenePlanet, every test we sell starts with a conversation. On the other side of that conversation is someone thinking about whether to take a preventive genetic test — maybe their doctor suggested it, maybe something in their family history is on their mind, maybe they read about it and got curious. Your job is to be the person they end up talking to.

We're a European biotech company working in preventive genetic testing. Our tests are available in 45+ markets, used by more than 5,000 doctors, clinics, and insurance partners, and they help people make smarter decisions about their health before something goes wrong.

We're hiring a Customer Support Coordinator for Romania. You'll be in contact with patients across the channels they actually use to reach us — calls, email, messaging — turning the warm leads our marketing team generates into customers, walking people through the process, booking their blood collection appointments, and being the human they remember when they decide to trust us with something this personal. It's a role for someone who's naturally helpful, comfortable starting conversations, and quietly competitive about hitting targets.

Tasks

Tasks (what you'll actually do)

  • Reach out to warm leads coming in from our marketing channels and turn them into customers — across whatever channel works best for the patient (call, email, messaging). These aren't cold contacts; people have already raised their hand. Your job is to answer their questions, help them understand whether the test is right for them, and close.
  • Schedule blood collection appointments and make sure each patient knows exactly what to expect on the day.
  • Handle whatever comes up after the booking — questions about results, billing, timing, logistics — wherever the patient prefers to reach you, with patience and clear answers.
  • Keep an eye on how the contact center is performing. Spot what's working, flag what isn't, and suggest fixes.
  • Tell our marketing team what you're hearing on the phone. The patterns you pick up are how we figure out what to say differently, who to target, and where the gaps are.
  • Help us bring in better leads, not just more of them. We want your read on the market.

Requirements

Requirements (what you'll need)

Must-haves:

  • Fluency in Romanian and English. You'll spend most of your day in conversation with patients — written and spoken — and there's no version of this job where weak language skills work.
  • At least 2 years in sales or customer service, ideally in a contact center.
  • Real comfort starting conversations with people. Some people see a list of leads and feel resistance; you see opportunity. We need the second kind.
  • Strong organization. Appointments need to land in the right slot. Follow-ups need to happen on time. Patients can't fall through the cracks.
  • The discipline to work remotely without losing momentum.

Nice to have (real plus, not required):

  • A medical or health-related background — nursing, pharmacy, biology, public health, anything where you've learned to talk about the human body with confidence. Patients ask questions that are easier to answer well when you understand the science, and they trust you faster when you do.
  • Marketing instincts. The feedback loop between you and our marketing team is one of the most valuable parts of this role, and people who naturally think like marketers do this part especially well.

Benefits

Benefits

  • Remote work from anywhere in Romania.
  • Performance bonuses tied to results you can actually influence — not a vague company-wide metric.
  • A small, international team that takes preventive health seriously and moves quickly.
  • Real room to shape the role. We're scaling Romania, and the person we hire helps us figure out what good looks like here.
  • Work that genuinely matters. Preventive genetic testing isn't a vitamin subscription — it's information that helps people make better decisions about their own health and their family's.

If you're a strong communicator with sales instincts and real care for the person on the other end of the conversation, we'd like to talk. Send us your CV and a few sentences about what drew you to this role.
