Job Description

About the role and team

Working as a Customer Success Manager at Uber means moving beyond the polished surface of account management to solve the complex, high-stakes operational realities our largest enterprise partners face every day.

You will support a Senior Account Manager who owns a portfolio of restaurant accounts and serves as their key day-to-day contact. Acting as the bridge between our digital platform and the physical storefronts of our enterprise partners, you will ensure that Uber remains their preferred delivery engine through relentless analytical rigor and hands-on problem solving.

You will oversee operational health and portfolio growth through performance reviews, product adoption, issue resolution, and by sharing data and insights. You will translate merchant data into actionable plans, support commercial proposals from an operational perspective, and ensure execution delivers value for both partners and Uber.

The pace is fast and the environment is frequently ambiguous, requiring a mindset that thrives when there is no established playbook. This role is for those who take extreme ownership of partner outcomes, possess the grit to navigate internal friction, and are energised by the challenge of turning complex data into real-world marketplace reliability.

What you’ll do

  • Build long-term partnerships with enterprise restaurant decision-makers across New Zealand, maintaining active account plans, assisting business reviews and moving beyond simple product support to deliver tangible business value
  • Monitor key delivery and financial metrics through merchant dashboards and data insights, solving messy problems and identifying portfolio gaps to deliver actionable recommendations to partners and the Senior Account Manager
  • Champion operational excellence and resolve bottlenecks by navigating internal cross-functional complexity, advocating for product enhancements, and reducing operational debt
  • Collaborate with regional and global operations, product, and legal teams to coordinate issue resolution and deliver solutions that scale

Basic qualifications

  • 3+ years of client-facing experience in account management, customer success or B2B operations
  • Proficiency in data analysis, working comfortably with operational and commercial metrics to drive business judgment, decision-making, and measurable outcomes
  • Experience managing stakeholders across diverse business functions, levels, and geographies
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority and navigate complex interpersonal dynamics across local and global teams

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience coordinating enterprise, multi-site restaurant, retail, or e-commerce partnerships across NZ
  • Background or experience in the technology, food delivery, last-mile logistics, on-demand delivery, marketplaces, or restaurant tech industries managing high-pressure projects
  • Hands-on data querying skills to support analysis and decision-making

Ready to Ride?

This isn't the kind of place where you follow a playbook — it's where you help write one. If you're driven by impact, energized by challenge, and ready to shape how the world moves — we'd love to hear from you.

You may be eligible for bonuses, equity, and other compensation, as well as a range of benefits. Explore our benefits.

Offices remain key to collaboration and Uber's culture. Unless approved for full remote work, employees must spend at least 50% of their time in-office. Some roles, like those at greenlight hubs, require full-time in-office presence. Ask your Recruiter for details about this role's requirements.

About Uber

We are Uber. The go-getters. The kind of people who are relentless about our mission to help people go anywhere and get anything and earn their way. Movement is what we power. It’s our lifeblood. It runs through our veins. It’s what gets us out of bed each morning. It pushes us to constantly reimagine how we can move better. For you. For all the places you want to go. For all the things you want to get. For all the ways you want to earn. Across the entire world. In real time. At the incredible speed of now.

The idea for Uber was born on a snowy night in Paris in 2008, and ever since then our DNA of reimagination and reinvention carries on. We’ve grown into a global platform powering flexible earnings and the movement of people and things in ever expanding ways. We’ve gone from connecting rides on 4 wheels to 2 wheels to 18-wheel freight deliveries. From takeout meals to daily essentials to prescription drugs to just about anything you need at any time and earning your way. From drivers with background checks to real-time verification, safety is a top priority every single day. At Uber, the pursuit of reimagination is never finished, never stops, and is always just beginning.
