As a Customer Solution Architect (Technical Deal Lead), you are accountable for the technical integrity and delivery and commercial viability of high-stakes proposals. You will balance direct, hands-on customer technical engagement with the strategic coordination of global technical resources, ensuring our quotes are accurate, well-scoped, and executable (on time and with quality). We seek a strategic partner who thrives navigating sometimes incomplete information and aggressive timelines to design winning, risk-assessed, and profitable solutions that GE Vernova can confidently commit to.
· Consult: Translate complex RFP requirements, customer pain points, and strategic roadmaps into robust, smartly designed OT software solutions (e.g., ADMS, DERMS, AEMS).
· Adapt: Determine optimal delivery strategies, architect compelling project-specific implementation plans, and lead effort estimations while maintaining full technical accountability.
· Innovate: Introduce new products, deployment methodologies, and evolving architectures (e.g. SaaS) throughout the APAC region.
· Plan: Execute product strategy by developing tailored migration paths that modernise key customers from their legacy systems.
· Own: Serve as the dedicated technical authority for high-stakes proposals, taking end-to-end responsibility for functional and non-functional requirements to ensure alignment with customer needs while balancing commercial constraints.
· Scale: Manage the wider proposal pipeline by guiding offshore teams and reviewing estimates, acting as a force multiplier to ensure high-volume proposal submissions are accurate and commercially viable.
· Execute: Partner with Sales, Commercial Operations and Services to ensure every solution is technically sound, commercially sharp, and executable before contract signature.
· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
· Recognised technical authority in critical grid software (e.g. ADMS, DERMS, or AEMS) with a deep understanding of the APAC electrical utility business, technical needs, and emerging trends.
· Proven track record in scoping and architecting complex technical proposals, including end-to-end management of effort estimation, project schedules, and risk assessment for large-scale utility tenders.
· Full authorization to work in Australia.
· A proactive, founder-like approach to deal-making; you take full initiative to identify upfront difficulties and drive outcomes before they become risks.
· Exceptional ability to distill complex technical architecture into compelling, persuasive narratives for both technical and executive-level audiences.
· Proven success in designing high-stakes solutions under conditions of high uncertainty, limited data, and aggressive commercial deadlines.
· Demonstrated ability to coordinate distributed technical teams to deliver high-quality estimates without direct line management authority.
· Prior experience with GE Vernova’s grid software suite or comparable utility-grade OT platforms.
· A demonstrated ability to balance technical idealism with the realities of budget, schedule, and competitive pressure.
