Customer Services Officer Rangiora – Full time

Our Team helps people with enquiries covering all aspects of Council. No two days are the same and your next conversation could be about water, drainage, roads, rates, dog registration, kerbside bins or any of the many services the Council provides for our growing community.

If you are passionate about providing exceptional customer service and you thrive in a fast-paced call centre environment you could be the dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Services Officer we need to join our team.

You will be the first point of contact for our community, handling enquiries via phone, email, online and social media. Your primary focus will be on call centre handling, ensuring that every interaction is professional, approachable and solutions-focused.

You should be:

Customer Focused: a strong customer service background with at least 12 months of call centre experience.

Tech-savvy: you are proficient with Microsoft Office products and can quickly learn new applications.

Excellent Communicator: clear and concise communication skills, both orally and in writing.

Organised: you can manage and prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Team Player: a positive attitude and able to collaborate effectively with colleagues and the community. Customers are at the heart of everything we do.

This role is permanent full time and offers 8 hours/day worked on Monday to Friday.

A competitive remuneration package dependent on skills and experience, current range $62,192 - $70,200. Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.
