The Opportunity:

Under moderate supervision, conducts general business support, including handling inquiries from external or internal customers, coordinating resolution of customer issues with internal departments, explaining products/services and billing procedures to customers, assisting customers in completing forms and gathering/recording information needed for proper transactions.

Avantor is looking for a dedicated Customer Facing Responsible – French Speaker to join our Customer Service team in Bucharest, Romania for a full-time position.

We are looking for a person who can work under moderate supervision, conduct general business support, including handling inquiries from external or internal customers, coordinating resolution of customer issues with internal departments, explaining products/services and billing procedures to customers, assisting customers in completing forms and gathering/recording information needed for proper transactions.

What we’re looking for

• Education: Bachelor’s degree, with 2 -3 years of customer service is required, relevant experience will be desirable.
• Experience: International trade / logistics major or related experiences will be desirable
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work successfully in a team environment.
• Good customer service, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications – nice to have, but not mandatory – we will teach you everything you need to know
• Self-motivated and demonstrates initiative and result oriented.
• Must be able to communicate in French C1 & English C1 (Verbal and Written)

• Take ownership of customers’ issues and resolutions
• Monitor daily operations and incoming matters.
• Manage inbound and outbound customer phone calls (20% of your time), perform back-office /email tasks 80% of your time.
• Check material validity and price effectiveness in SAP.
• Arrange valid orders to initiate product shipment.
• Ensure supply chain processes meet customer requirements.
• Take ownership of internal and external customer requirements.
• Manage orders to ensure complete and on time delivery
• Manage returned and defective products to Logistic Centers and provide credits to customers
• Ensures highest level of customer satisfaction (internal and external)
