Job Description

The customer service specialist 2 is responsible for performing and providing analysis, technical support, training and oversight of various business support operations and initiatives, including accounts/invoice processing such as creation of CPA, PO, SPO, LSPO's and non-PO. Managing invoices from beginning to payment. Assist with personal computing, addressing internal and external inquires (web and phone based), assist with administrative functions for right-of-way group, and provide assistance with managing all executive document storage and BHER vehicle titles.

  • Coordinate and complete process for accounts payable ensuring proper validation, accounting codes, authorization, timely payment and discount opportunities are fulfilled
  • Initiate and prepare Contract Purchase Agreements (CPA) and Purchase Orders (PO) derived from vendor quotes and for yearly budgeting purposes
  • Understands contract terms and company obligations
  • Responsible for facilitation of contract redline reviews ensuring appropriate approval of contract changes, retention of executed contracts, and tracking of key contract terms by maintaining spreadsheets, shared repositories, and document/Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) libraries
  • Responding to corporate communication channels (web and phone)
  • Right of way administrative functions
  • Prepare and review revenue invoices for accuracy according to energy market and power purchase agreement guidelines
  • Verify billed/charged invoices for accuracy
  • Assists in the development and implementation of training materials for new and existing processes related to business support functions
  • Perform analysis related to energy and financial derivatives
  • Assist in the research, analysis and implementation of procedures or updates to business support procedures and systems
  • Assist in providing needed data in preparation of providing regular reporting to senior leadership
  • Assist with personal computing functions
  • Perform additional responsibilities and requested or assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Associate’s degree in business, accounting, marketing, finance, mathematics or related field, plus one year of related work experience; OR four years of progressive, related work experience
  • Experience communicating and presenting data-based information to management
  • Experience with corporate reporting and financial document review
  • Experience with ERP or financial systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in billing, invoicing, or accounts payable
  • Experience creating purchase orders, contract purchase agreements, or similar procurement documents
  • Familiarity with contract terms
  • Experience in energy, utilities, or renewable energy industry
  • Experience with Oracle systems
