The Customer Service Representative (Truck Gate) will coordinate all data entry and related processes for truck gate operations to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free work
environment for all employees, carriers, and drivers.
Responsibilities
• Process trucks as they arrive by recording the driver, truck number, and arrival date/time
• Process trucks as they depart by entering load sheet info into iVELES and scanning bay tags to match with load sheet
◦ Upload and confirm complete
◦ Allow driver to proceed offsite
• Inspect the truck gate and truck load lanes each hour to ensure cleanliness
◦ Report any spills or trash to the driver or carrier office
◦ Log inspection results in logbook
• Update truck data on computer as needed
• Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
• HS Diploma/G.E.D. Required
• 1 - 2 years of direct experience Required
Skills
• Ability to work effectively in group/team settings Required
• Ability to respond to IT problems and Customer queries Required
• Interpersonal and communication skills Required
• Knowledge of MS Office applications to include Excel experience Required
Working and Environmental Conditions
This position works in a plant manufacturing/warehouse setting at West Point, GA
• Exposure to loud noises from vehicles and heavy machinery
• Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions
• Exposure to chemicals/fumes
