If you consider pet hair a fashion accessory and carry treats in your pockets “just in case,” you may have found your people.
Salem Animal Hospital is a five-doctor small animal practice in Salem, NH, committed to excellent medicine, exceptional client service, training, and a positive team culture. We’re fun, supportive, collaborative, and fast-paced—and we’re looking for someone who loves animals, enjoys working with people, and knows that the best teams jump in for one another.
As our Pet Care Attendant / Customer Service Representative, you’ll be cross-trained in both front desk and pet care responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to make a difference for our clients, patients, and team throughout the hospital.
Why Our Pet Care Attendant / Client Service Representatives Love Working Here
Around here, the people behind the medicine matter too. We believe in supporting one another and celebrating the moments—big and small—that make our team special.
This hands-on, cross-trained role combines client service with compassionate animal care. You’ll help keep the front desk running smoothly while also supporting patients and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
You don’t need to know everything on day one—we’re looking for someone who is dependable, compassionate, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to the team.
Our ideal candidate:
A great workplace isn’t just about the job—it’s about the people beside you.
At Salem Animal Hospital, we believe empathy should extend beyond our patients to our clients, coworkers, and ourselves. You’ll join a team that supports one another, works collaboratively, and makes time to recognize the moments worth celebrating.
You’ll also get something that can make a big difference in your week: a Monday–Friday schedule with no nights, weekends, or holidays. That means more predictability for your life outside the hospital while still building valuable experience in both veterinary client service and hands-on pet care.
And yes, pet hair on your clothes is probably inevitable. We consider it part of the uniform.
Benefit eligibility may vary based on full-time or part-time status. Benefits designated as full-time only are subject to eligibility requirements.
Come Join the Salem Animal Hospital Team!
If you love animals, enjoy helping people, and want a role where you can build experience in both client service and pet care, we’d love to meet you.
Bring your compassion, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and maybe a few treats in your pockets. We’ll provide a supportive team where you can put those talents to work.
