Customer Service Representative

Standard Heating, Cooling & Plumbing | Birmingham, AL | Full-Time

When a customer’s system goes down, you’re the first person they talk to, and the reason they hang up feeling taken care of. At Standard, our CSRs keep the whole operation moving: booking calls, keeping techs on schedule, and making sure every customer knows exactly what’s happening and when. While other shops slow down, we’re growing, and we’re looking for someone sharp, warm, and organized to grow with us.

What You’ll Do

• Answer inbound calls and book service and maintenance appointments
• Schedule and confirm appointments, and keep customers updated on tech arrival times
• Enter and update customer information accurately in our scheduling software
• Follow up on estimates, open quotes, and maintenance agreement renewals
• Handle questions and concerns with patience, and know when to escalate
• Work closely with dispatch and our field team to keep the day running smoothly

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Customer service experience, especially phone-based or call center
• Someone friendly, upbeat, and calm under pressure, even on a 100-degree day with a full call board
• Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple tasks
• Experience in home services, HVAC, or plumbing is a plus but not required
• Experience with ServiceTitan or similar scheduling software is a plus

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable using a computer, phone system, and scheduling software
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
