About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join a fast-paced concrete manufacturing operation in Folsom, CA.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment, enjoys solving problems, and can confidently manage multiple priorities throughout the day.

You'll serve as a key point of contact for customers, handling inbound calls, taking and updating orders, providing delivery information, and coordinating closely with dispatch and scheduling teams to help keep daily operations running smoothly.

Job Responsibilities

• Handle approximately 6080 inbound customer calls per day while providing professional and efficient service.
• Take customer orders by phone and accurately capture addresses, locations, delivery instructions, and other important details.
• Provide customers with order updates, delivery ETAs, and information regarding products and services.
• Enter, update, and maintain customer orders and delivery information in internal systems.
• Manage daily schedules and coordinate closely with dispatch to support accurate and timely deliveries.
• Partner with schedulers to adjust schedules and respond to driver call-outs or other operational changes.
• Troubleshoot delayed, incorrect, or changing orders and help identify solutions in real time.
• Communicate regularly with customers, subcontractors, manufacturing employees, tradespeople, and internal team members.
• Assist with supplier-related operational support and monitor subcontractor activity as needed.
• Maintain accurate and organized records using Windows-based systems and dual monitors.
• Learn concrete industry terminology, products, and processes while continuing to develop industry knowledge.

Required Qualifications

• 1+ year of customer service experience, preferably within the construction or industrial sector.
• Previous experience in a high-volume call center or customer support environment.
• Comfortable handling a large volume of inbound calls while maintaining a positive and professional approach.
• Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Reliable, hardworking, and comfortable adapting when schedules or customer needs change.
• Comfortable using Windows-based computer systems and dual monitors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Spanish-speaking or bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Experience working with dispatch, scheduling, logistics, or transportation teams.
• Previous exposure to manufacturing, construction, building materials, or concrete environments.
• Experience communicating with tradespeople or employees in a unionized environment.
• Ability and willingness to learn industry-specific terminology and processes.

Work Environment

This is a fully on-site position in Folsom, California, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including a 30-minute lunch.

Youll join a team of approximately 10 professionals across customer service, dispatch, and specialized operational functions. The environment is busy and team-oriented, with frequent communication across customers, drivers, manufacturing personnel, and tradespeople.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Folsom, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
