Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative serves as the primary communication link between Twin Disc and our customers. This role is responsible for managing customer orders, coordinating delivery requirements, monitoring order status, and ensuring exceptional service throughout the order fulfillment process.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact between Twin Disc and customers.
  • Enter, process, modify, and expedite customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify pricing, bills of material (BOM), lead times, and order details.
  • Coordinate with Planning, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Shipping departments to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Monitor order status and delivery schedules, providing timely updates to customers.
  • Assist with shipping coordination and order expediting activities.
  • Address customer inquiries and route requests to the appropriate internal resources.
  • Balance customer expectations with company capabilities while maintaining strong relationships.
  • Participate in daily management meetings and share customer feedback, market intelligence, trends, and concerns.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts through effective communication and problem resolution.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration preferred, or
  • Associate degree with equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of customer service experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
  • JD Edwards (JDE) experience preferred.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong listening and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to effectively resolve challenging customer situations.
  • Proven ability to communicate and collaborate with employees at all organizational levels and across international subsidiaries.

Work Environment

  • Position is based in Racine, Wisconsin.
  • Occasional travel to customer facilities may be required.
  • No direct supervisory responsibilities.
