🐾 Client Service Representative

Androscoggin Animal Hospital – Topsham, ME

Pay: up to $20/hr DoE

We're looking for someone who’s compassionate, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be an essential part of our team, supporting both our clients and medical staff to ensure every visit feels smooth, warm, and professional.

💼 Schedule

• When You’d Work: We offer flexible weekday shifts within our business hours (Mon/Wed/Fri: 8–6, Tues/Thurs: 8–5). Saturday availability is required on a rotating basis—our Saturday hours are 8–1.

✨ What You’ll Do

• Greet clients and their pets with friendliness and professionalism
• Answer phones, schedule and confirm appointments
• Prepare estimates, invoices, and process payments
• Maintain an organized, stocked, and welcoming lobby area
• Support pet owners with compassion during emotional moments
• Educate clients on wellness plans, food, and retail products
• Handle data entry, referral records, and client forms
• Perform opening/closing procedures and end-of-day deposits
• Triage incoming calls and visits to prioritize patient needs
• Ensure accurate patient admissions and up-to-date information

🧠 What You’ll Need

• 1–3 years of experience in a veterinary or human medical front desk role (preferred)
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, email, etc.)
• Comfort with office equipment (fax, credit card terminal, copier)
• Basic math skills for handling payments and deposits
• Familiarity with veterinary terminology and communication practices
• Clear, calm communication and empathy in high-stress situations
• Great time management and multitasking skills
• Positive, team-first attitude—and a love for pets, of course!
