Job Shift: DayPOSITION SUMMARY:
A Customer Service Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring the satisfaction and retention of customers by providing prompt and effective assistance. They serve as a point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and processing orders or requests. Customer Service Representatives must possess strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused mindset to deliver exceptional service and uphold the reputation of A.F. Wendling’s.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Serve as a point of contact for customers via phone, email, or in-person interactions.
• Respond promptly and courteously to customer inquiries, providing accurate information and assistance.
• Resolve customer issues or complaints in a timely and efficient manner, escalating complex issues to appropriate channels as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, logistics, and finance, to address customer needs and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Process orders, returns, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products or services to customers based on their needs and preferences.
• Stay updated on product knowledge, promotions, and company policies to provide accurate information to customers.
• Ability to problem solve quickly and creatively.
• Goal-oriented and driven self-start who can work independently within a team environment.
QualificationsEducation and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• HS Diploma or equivalent,
• Experience in Customer Service
• Basic Computer knowledge including understanding of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to empathize with customers.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
• Ability to complete tasks under standardized situations with occasional variables.
Physical Requirements:
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and position: up to 20 lb.
• Must be able to work at a desk for extended periods of time.
Work Environment:
• Work hours may vary, or change based on department requirements.
• The job is primarily performed in an office environment.
• The noise level in the work environment is typically low.
