About The Role

ARC (The Australian Reinforcing Company), is currently seeking a Customer Service Officer to join our high-performing team at our Mackay Branch.

You’ll work closely with our sales, operations, and leadership teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience. You'll play a critical role in ensuring smooth communication between our internal teams and valued customers—helping to manage day-to-day customer interactions, sales, and despatch processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage customer enquiries via phone, email, and in-person
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Assist with despatch coordination and logistics planning
• Process quotes, cash sales, and customer orders
• Monitor and maintain stock levels
• Merchandise products and receive stock
• Reconcile invoices and handle general admin duties
• Maximise sales opportunities through great service and follow-through
• Ensure accurate and timely communication between sales, operations, and customers

You’re an enthusiastic and tenacious team player who loves helping customers, solving problems, and keeping things running smoothly. You work well under pressure and take pride in your attention to detail.

Ideally, you’ll have:

• Experience in a customer service, retail sales, or sales admin role
• Ideally a background in building, construction, manufacturing, or related industries
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build rapport with a wide range of customers and stakeholders
• Strong multitasking and time management skills
• A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn
• Microsoft Office experience (SAP and CRM knowledge is a plus)
• A safety-first mindset and a team-oriented approach
• Exposure to a despatch environment and logistic processes will be highly regarding
