Job Description

Company Background:

We are representing our client who is in the steel manufacturing industry. As part of our client's ongoing ERP system implementation, they are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Customer Service (Assistant Officer) to support order processing and customer coordination tasks. This role is suitable for junior candidates who are systematic, customer-focused, and eager to learn within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Location: Jenjarom, Selangor or Sungai Bakap, Penang.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in processing customer orders accurately using the ERP system.
  • Support daily coordination with production and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Update customers on order status, delivery schedules, and any delays.
  • Support customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally.
  • Maintain and update accurate records and generate reports related to orders and deliveries.
  • Support testing, training, and data entry tasks related to the ERP system rollout.
  • Work with other departments to improve customer service processes.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum qualification of SPM/Diploma/Degree in any field will be an added advantage.
  • 2-3 years of experience in customer service, order processing or sales support within the manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.) will be very advantageous.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook).
  • Willing to spend extra time to complete tasks.
