The Customer Service Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between external customers and internal teams. Supporting multiple FABCO facilities, this role coordinates production, materials planning, and shipping to ensure delivery commitments are consistently met. By proactively identifying and resolving issues, the Coordinator maintains a strong customer-first focus, demonstrates exceptional responsiveness, and drives operational excellence, continuous improvement, and long-term customer satisfaction

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Customer Order & Sales Support

  • Support customer order and sales activities across multiple FABCO facilities, ensuring alignment and consistency in processes and communication.
  • Review and manage external customer purchase order processes, ensuring accurate capture, pricing, and fulfillment of customer requirements.
  • Enter, maintain, and update sales orders, pricing, and forecasts within system applications, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Drive past-due demand to zero through proactive follow-up and coordination with Production.
  • Coordinate customer costing efforts with Planning, Sourcing, Production, and Engineering, as needed.
  • Generate and provide performance reports (e.g., delivery, order status, and service metrics) as required to support customer communication and internal decision-making.

Shipping & Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate shipping activities for external customers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Research shipping variances, manage error lists, and drive timely corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to shipping schedules and achievement of performance metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, accuracy).

Compliance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with ISO procedures, work instructions, 5P’s, lean manufacturing and 5S standards.
  • Participate in audits, toolbox meetings, and operational reviews, if needed.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • At least 2 years of manufacturing/operations experience
  • 1-3 years’ experience with office and document management
  • Knowledge of production planning and control
  • Understanding of Lean,5S, and ISO certification requirements
  • Secondary education, Certificate/Diploma in Supply chain management, an asset
