Interacts with customers and reviews account information to understand their needs, answer inquiries, resolve concerns, and identify appropriate solutions. Provides professional customer service while supporting account resolution and collection activities, including discussing outstanding balances, negotiating payment arrangements where applicable, and completing necessary follow-up actions. Ensures customer information is accurately documented and updated while delivering a positive customer experience and meeting company and client expectations.

For over 65 years, Bill Gosling Outsourcing has been providing business solutions to our clients with various types of services including Customer Service, Accounts Receivable Management, Customer Sales, Contact Centre Technology, and Business Process Outsourcing. We are currently seeking motivated and customer-focused individuals to join our call center team as Customer Service & Collections Agents. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while also supporting collection activities and helping customers resolve outstanding account balances.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries in a friendly, professional, and solution-focused manner.
• Assist customers with account inquiries, billing concerns, payments, and other account-related issues.
• Discuss outstanding balances with customers and support collection efforts in a professional and respectful manner.
• Clearly explain payment options, account information, and available solutions to customers.
• Work with customers to identify appropriate payment arrangements or resolutions where applicable.
• Handle customer concerns and complaints while maintaining a positive customer experience.
• Process payments and other account transactions accurately.
• Maintain thorough and accurate customer records and update account information in the system.
• Complete required follow-up activities to ensure customer issues and account matters are fully resolved.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to resolve complex customer or account issues.
• Stay informed about company policies, procedures, products, and services.
• Meet and exceed performance metrics related to customer service, collections, call handling, quality, and productivity.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a call center, customer service, collections, accounts receivable, or similar role is advantageous.
• Comfortable discussing account balances, payments, and financial obligations with customers.
• Excellent verbal communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to remain professional, empathetic, and solution-focused when handling difficult or sensitive customer conversations.
• Ability to multitask and handle a high volume of calls in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in using computer systems and call center software.
• Ability to meet performance targets across both customer service and collections.
• Minimum 3 CXC subjects inclusive of English A.
