About the Role
As a Customer Service Attendant, you will play an integral role in providing world-class customer service onboard our Bundaberg or Rockhampton Tilt Train services. You can expect up to 3-day trips away and the chance to explore Queensland while you work.
Purpose That Counts. As a Customer Service Attendant, some of your duties will include:
• Creating a memorable onboard customer experience
• Delivering a food and beverage service, including galley duties and trolley service
• Managing storage, preparation and cooking of food and beverage items
• Performing general cleaning duties and maintain food hygiene standards
• Assisting with handling customer luggage
• Ensuring passenger safety by reporting operational issues
• Processing payments via cash and EFTPOS
• Performing Station Assistant duties, including customer service and platform cleaning

Temporary full-time position until June 2026.
Shifts are generally between the hours of 04:00 to 22:00 and operate on a rotating roster that includes early mornings, daytime shift, late afternoons/ evenings, weekends and public holidays.
The roster will be provided one week in advance so flexibility in this role is essential.

• An annual salary of $66,837 (pro-rata) / approx. $33 per hour + 12.75% super + applicable penalties and allowances

We are looking to connect with someone who ideally has:
• Previous experience providing face to face customer service. Relevant tourism, transport or hospitality industry experience is highly advantageous.
• The ability to work independently and in a team
• A strong work ethic and willingness to go the ‘extra mile’.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• The ability to think quickly, manage unexpected situations and perform under pressure
• Sound cash management skills.
• A Safety-focused mindset
• The ability to perform occasional heavy lifting (up to 20kg)
Candidates will also need to obtain the below statement of attainment certificates prior to employment:
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (SITHFAB002 / SITHFAB021)
• Food Safety – use hygienic practices for food safety (SITXFSA001 / SITXFSA005)
