Customer Service Advisor – Office-Based

Central Southampton | £28,000 – £32,000

Rafferty Resourcing is recruiting for a well-established and highly respected business in central Southampton, offering a rare opportunity to move into a structured office environment where your customer service skills are valued, not measured purely on call volume.

This position has become available due to an internal promotion, reflecting the company's strong track record of developing and retaining its team.

The Role:

You'll be speaking with business customers in a more consultative, relationship-focused environment, where quality of service and attention to detail are key.

You'll play an important part in managing customer orders, handling queries, and ensuring a smooth end-to-end customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Handling inbound calls from business customers in a professional and personable manner

  • Managing and processing customer orders accurately

  • Responding to queries relating to products, services, and account information

  • Preparing and providing detailed quotations

  • Managing a shared inbox and responding to email enquiries

  • Making follow-up calls regarding orders, quotations, and ongoing service queries

  • Investigating and resolving issues efficiently and effectively

  • Completing general administrative duties, including updating internal systems

  • Building strong, long-term relationships with customers

What's on Offer


  • Competitive salary: £28,000 – £32,000

  • Monday to Friday (no weekends)

  • Rotating hours:

    • Weeks 1–2: 8:00am – 5:00pm

    • Weeks 3–4: 8:30am – 5:30pm

  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

  • Contributory pension (up to 7% employer contribution)
