CUSTOMER SERVICE
We are searching for an experienced Customer Service at our MSC India - Chennai facility.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Export CSU – Key Responsibilities/Job Profile
Booking Management
Booking confirmation and CRO releases.
Booking amendments and validity extensions.
Follow-up with customers for new booking opportunities.
Monitoring active and expired bookings.
Customer Service & Query Resolution
Handling customer queries related to Documentation, Operations, and Logistics.
Coordinating with the C-Docs / Documentation Team for issue resolution.
Managing COD (Change of Destination) requests as required.
Approvals & Compliance
Obtaining Hazardous Cargo (HAZ) approvals.
Obtaining Out of Gauge (OOG) cargo approvals.
Securing Compliance approvals prior to booking release.
Obtaining Trade approvals for special routing or rate requests.
Documentation & Bill of Lading Activities
Updating freight details in Bills of Lading (B/L).
Performing B/L locking activities within stipulated timelines.
Arranging EMC (Export Manifest Correction) for contract amendments after vessel sailing.
Operational Coordination
Sending daily cargo projections to the Operations Team for feeder vessels.
Performing vessel cleanup activities to ensure booking accuracy and space optimization.
Coordinating with internal stakeholders to support smooth cargo movement and vessel planning.
Financial & Outstanding Follow-up
Following up on customer outstanding payments and pending issues.
System & Process Compliance
Filing TMS Rate Agreements accurately and within the required timelines.
Ensuring adherence to company policies, trade guidelines, and process controls.
