Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Customer Segments Manager to support the development and execution of customer-centric growth strategies within the Personal Banking portfolio. This role focuses on accelerating acquisition and engagement within a priority segment— Newcomers to Canada—through affiliate referral models, sponsorships, and large-scale community events.

The successful candidate will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders across Marketing, Analytics, Sales, Legal, Compliance, and Branch teams, as well as external community organizations and influencers. This is an ideal opportunity for a strategic, execution-oriented professional with strong experience in customer segmentation, partnerships, and event-driven growth initiatives within banking or customer-focused industries.

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2–3 days in office)
Contract Length: 2 Years
Hours: 9 AM–5 PM EST
Pay Rate: $44/hour


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the development and execution of affiliate referral models, sponsorships, and community-based partnerships to drive growth within the Newcomers to Canada segment.

  • Identify, evaluate, and execute compelling partnership opportunities that provide meaningful value-adds to customers and support acquisition and activation goals.

  • Act as strategy lead for sponsorship proposals and on-the-ground community events, ensuring alignment with brand, marketing, legal, and compliance guidelines.

  • Build and execute activation strategies for events in collaboration with Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Customer Analytics, Sales, and external partners.

  • Support branch teams at community events, including preparation of proposals, pitch decks, and in-field execution support.

  • Develop and maintain a segment knowledge bank and serve as a subject matter expert for end-to-end event coordination and segment strategy.

  • Partner with Marketing, Customer Analytics, Customer Care, and Sales teams to analyze performance data and identify key drivers of conversion, product adoption, retention, and cross-sell.

  • Monitor performance and report on event-driven acquisition results, KPIs, and ROI, advocating for appropriate resource prioritization.

  • Conduct ongoing competitive analysis of group banking and community events to assess positioning, pricing, strengths, and gaps.

  • Identify and promote best-in-class customer communication and cross-sell practices to inform broader segment strategy.

  • Develop clear, compelling strategies and presentations that influence cross-functional leaders and align stakeholders around shared objectives.

  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in the evolution of the customer segment program.

  • Articulate program strategy, outcomes, and insights to senior stakeholders on a regular basis.


QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • 5–7 years of experience in Strategy, Consulting, Product Management, or customer-focused roles, preferably within banking or financial services.

  • Experience working within the banking industry; branch experience is a strong asset.

  • Proven experience leading events, developing strategies, managing partnerships and/or sponsorships, and working with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams in complex environments.

  • Experience acting as a change agent, with resilience in the face of ambiguity or evolving priorities.

  • Strong background in customer segmentation, customer intelligence, and market research.

  • Advanced quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies and tactics.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

EDUCATION

  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Strategy, or a related discipline.
