Eagle River Water & Sanitation District is looking to add to our customer relations team. As a Customer Relations Specialist, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers by fielding calls, answering questions, and resolving issues in real time while upholding our commitment to the community as a reliable water and wastewater utility. This is a high-volume, phone-based role for someone who thrives on helping people and keeps their cool under pressure.
The Day-to-Day
- Administrative: Answer incoming calls, log into the agent queue, and assist with scheduling appointments for home visits.
- Customer Inquiries: Respond to customer inquiries related to service setups, disconnects, billing concerns, payments, account management, and other support as needed. Investigate and resolve issues efficiently, issuing work orders and coordinating with meter techs to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Relationships: Act as a liaison between customers and internal departments, facilitating effective communication and support.
- Account Management: Update customer account information such as address changes, autopay enrollment, and new property owners. Generate customer letters and emails as needed.
- Data Input and Analysis: Audit customer and account files, input payments, and correct input errors as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 1–3 years of customer service experience, ideally in a call center, contact center, or high-volume phone environment
- Comfortable navigating multiple software systems while on a call; proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with CIS Infinity, WaterSmart, or similar utility billing software preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
Schedule and Work Location 
This role will be scheduled to work 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday out of our Vail office. Must be willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as necessary. This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule. 
Pay Range 
The range for this role is $27.74 – $38.83 hourly. Hiring wage will depend on qualifications and experience.
