Job Description

At the heart of AWS marketing initiatives are customer stories—powerful endorsements from globally recognized brands demonstrating leadership in AI and cloud innovation. As Customer References Manager for LATAM, you will be the strategic architect identifying and vetting the customers whose stories will create "wow" moments for our audiences. This role requires working backwards from AWS's strategic priorities to proactively seek customers who embody the narratives that matter most, ensuring we deliver fewer, higher-impact customer stories that drive meaningful business results.

As part of the AWS Customer References team—the central hub for all AWS customer reference activities—you will ensure consistency, quality, and strategic alignment across the LATAM region. You'll focus resources on customers and narratives that reflect AWS's strategic priorities and areas of significant business investment, serving as the trusted partner that amplifies customer voices and showcases AWS's transformational impact

Key job responsibilities
Strategic Customer Identification & Selection
- Work backwards from desired narratives to proactively identify LATAM customers who embody stories aligned with AWS strategic priorities (AI innovation, cloud transformation, industry leadership)
- Develop and maintain customer storytelling frameworks that evaluate strategic value, business impact, technical innovation, and ability to create wow moments
- Build a portfolio of stories that demonstrate leadership in AI and cloud innovation

Customer Story Development
- Shape customer stories that serve as powerful social proof for both marketers and sellers
- Identify the specific narratives that will resonate with target audiences and support strategic marketing initiatives
- Ensure stories accelerate cloud and AI adoption journey for customers worldwide
- Maintain a balanced portfolio across industries, use cases, and geographies within LATAM to support diverse marketing and sales needs
- Track which customers and narratives are delivering the highest impact and adjust strategy accordingly

About Amazon

Amazon is guided by four principles: customer obsession rather than competitor focus, passion for invention, commitment to operational excellence, and long-term thinking. We are driven by the excitement of building technologies, inventing products, and providing services that change lives. We embrace new ways of doing things, make decisions quickly, and are not afraid to fail. We have the scope and capabilities of a large company, and the spirit and heart of a small one.

Together, Amazonians research and develop new technologies from Amazon Web Services to Alexa on behalf of our customers: shoppers, sellers, content creators, and developers around the world.

Our mission is to be Earth's most customer-centric company. Our actions, goals, projects, programs, and inventions begin and end with the customer top of mind.

You'll also hear us say that at Amazon, it's always "Day 1." What do we mean? That our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon's very first day - to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and focus on delighting our customers.
