Your Job

As a Customer Quality Engineer, you will serve as the primary technical interface between customers and the organization, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective complaint management, structured problem-solving, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will play a key role in driving quality excellence across manufacturing operations while supporting compliance with automotive quality standards.

Our Team

You will join the Quality team and collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, and customer-facing stakeholders. In this role, you will lead cross-functional efforts to resolve quality concerns, improve processes, and strengthen customer relationships while supporting a culture of operational excellence.

What You Will Do

  • Lead customer complaint investigations and containment activities.
  • Drive and coordinate cross-functional teams through effective 8D problem-solving processes.
  • Utilize Structured Problem Solving (SPS) methodologies to identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for domestic and international customers.
  • Analyze quality performance data and develop improvement plans based on statistical analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 requirements and VDA standards.
  • Participate in internal, customer, and certification audits.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of Core Tools, including APQP, PPAP, MSA, FMEA, and Control Plans.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Monitor customer quality metrics, scorecards, and performance indicators.
  • Perform statistical analysis to validate root causes and corrective action effectiveness.
  • Partner closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues on the manufacturing floor.
  • Promote defect prevention through Six Sigma and Red X methodologies.
  • Lead customer review meetings and communicate technical solutions effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to negotiate and implement successful action plans.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience in Quality within an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in Customer Quality or direct customer-facing quality functions.
  • Experience leading problem-solving activities using the 8D methodology.
  • Professional English proficiency with the ability to lead technical meetings and prepare reports and presentations for international customers.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Internal Auditor certification in IATF 16949 and/or VDA 6.3.
