We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Customer Proposition Product Owner - Digital Wealth

The Customer Proposition Product Owner will lead the delivery and continuous improvement of our direct-to-consumer (D2C) retail wealth proposition, in line with our strategic direction. Positioned at the centre of our retail wealth business, you’ll play a key role in shaping products, services and experiences that meet the needs of today’s investors — and stay ahead of what customers will expect next. You’ll own and maintain the proposition backlog, prioritising work that creates a compelling, differentiated and customer-led offer that drives growth, engagement and long-term value in the fast-moving UK retail investment market. Acting as the voice of the customer, you’ll turn customer insight, market trends and strategic priorities into clear product outcomes and an outstanding end-to-end experience. Working closely with agile delivery teams and proposition stakeholders, you’ll connect proposition strategy to execution, ensuring we evolve our offer at pace for digitally savvy investors and stand out in a competitive landscape. Your scope will span investment accounts, digital tools and experiences, retirement planning and key customer journeys, among other areas.

In this role you’ll:

  • Own the end-to-end retail investments and wealth proposition across wrappers (e.g., ISA, GIA, SIPP), platforms and guidance, ensuring it meets customer needs, regulatory expectations and business priorities.
  • Lead delivery from inception to deployment, including planning and tracking build, organising and supporting UAT, enabling user training, and providing post-deployment support.
  • Act as Product Owner for requirements definition, partnering with BAs, Dev Pods and business SMEs to confirm epics, create user stories, and refine requirements with architecture and engineering teams.
  • Manage and prioritise the product backlog, running regular grooming to maximise customer value and commercial outcomes, and ensuring the team is focused on the highest-impact work.
  • Champion insight-led, customer-first design, working with Customer Research, Commercialisation, Digital Experience and UX to test and validate ideas through prototypes, pilots and feedback loops.
  • Drive performance, compliance and stakeholder alignment, embedding risk and regulatory requirements (e.g., Consumer Duty, value assessments), tracking KPIs/OKRs (e.g., acquisition, engagement, retention, AUM, NPS), partnering across Product/Marketing/Compliance/Risk/Technology, and deputising for the Head of Customer Proposition when required.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or Customer Proposition Manager within digital wealth is essential.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with a solid understanding of investment products (e.g., ISAs, SIPPs, GIAs) and customer behaviour.
  • Deep knowledge of retail customer needs, including segmentation, end-to-end journeys and experience design.
  • Experienced in agile delivery, working effectively with cross-functional pods and technology delivery teams.
  • Customer-first and innovation-led mindset, with a commitment to financial inclusion and supporting long-term investing outcomes.
  • Confident, influential communicator, with strong stakeholder management skills across senior leaders and teams spanning product, compliance, technology and commercial functions.
