Customer Project Manager - Automotive Business

The Customer Project Manager position is to differentiate SKF at the customer with an industry leading Project Management by meeting the QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) targets of the projects.

As a Project Manager at SKF, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing projects from initiation to completion. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers to ensure the successful delivery of projects within scope, schedule, financial, and quality requirements. You will be instrumental in driving project performance and ensuring customer satisfaction.

This is an individual contributor role.

  
Key responsibilities (or What you can expect in the role)

  1. Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, timelines, and resource requirements.
  2. Stakeholder Management: Identify key stakeholders, maintain regular communication, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  3. Risk Management & Escalation: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Ensure timely escalation before the occurrence.
  4. Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively and efficiently to meet project objectives.
  5. Project Execution: Lead project teams to execute project plans, monitor progress, and address any deviations from the plan.
  6. Financial Management: Track project financial parameters, manage cost reduction initiatives, and report financial status to relevant stakeholders.
  7. Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet high-quality standards and align with customer requirements.
  8. Change Management: Evaluate and implement changes to project scope, schedule, or resources while managing the impact on project objectives.
  9. Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and records throughout the project lifecycle.
  10. Project Closure: Conduct project reviews, gather lessons learned, and provide recommendations for future improvements.

Requirements (or We expect you to have/be)

  • Experience: 5-9 years of experience
  • Education Qualification - Any Engineering Graduate
  • Manufacturing exp.: Exp. should be from Mfg. background
  • Cross functional: Cross functional coordination role and has strong ability to coordinate with cross functional team
  • Pref. exposure in PMP / APQP: Good to have someone with PMP / APQP OR DFMEA
  • Communication skills: Good communication skills
  • Stakeholder Management: Stakeholders’ management - Internal & External
  • Proactive leadership driving accountability and results
