About the Role

This role sits within our Finance organization in Lisbon and plays a key part in ensuring efficient, accurate, and timely processing of customer payments across the EMEA region. You will manage incoming payments, allocate them correctly, and contribute to maximizing automation and touchless processing.

Working in a collaborative and matrix environment, you will interact with internal stakeholders and support continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and Essity policies.

What You Will Do

  • Customer Payment Processing: Manage and allocate incoming customer payments accurately and efficiently to the appropriate accounts

  • Financial Posting: Classify, code, and record financial transactions in customer accounts and general ledger systems

  • Automation Management: Support and maintain touchless payment automation processes to improve efficiency

  • Reconciliation: Review balance statements and financial institution reports to ensure data accuracy

  • Transaction Verification: Process accounts payable/receivable transactions, including bank deposits and related activities

  • Compliance & Quality: Perform quality checks and ensure delivery aligned with accounting standards, internal controls, and SLAs

  • Stakeholder Support: Respond to queries from internal stakeholders and escalate issues while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

Who You Are

  • Completed bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field

  • Experience in a similar accounting or finance administration role

  • Experience with SAP (R/3 or S/4), EBS Workbench, and Office 365 is highly appreciated

  • Strong communication, collaboration, adaptability, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work efficiently in a matrix organization and deliver with quality and speed

  • Fluent English required
