The Role

We are looking for a collaborative, detail-oriented individual to join our in-house Customer Operations team. Reporting to the Director of Customer Operations, the Customer Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in executing customer orders and fulfillment activities across Spindrift’s network. This position manages the order lifecycle from receipt through delivery and invoicing, helping ensure that orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.

The Customer Operations Coordinator works closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, warehouses, carriers, and customers. The right candidate will be organized, curious, comfortable learning new systems, and able to solve problems while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

As part of a small, collaborative office, you will sit alongside colleagues and senior leaders in our open floor plan, giving you meaningful exposure to the business, direct access to decision-makers, and opportunities to learn beyond your immediate responsibilities.

What You’ll Own

Order Lifecycle Management

• Manage customer orders from receipt through fulfillment, shipment, delivery, and invoicing.
• Monitor and prioritize a high volume of orders across multiple fulfillment locations and customer ship-to locations.
• Ensure orders are processed accurately and in accordance with customer-specific requirements and service expectations.
• Proactively identify and help resolve order exceptions, fulfillment constraints, and shipment delays to minimize customer impact.

Customer and Operational Support

• Serve as a primary operational contact for internal stakeholders and customers regarding order status, shipment execution, inventory availability, and issue resolution.
• Partner with Sales and Customer teams to support customer-specific programs, product launches, and service requirements.
• Coordinate customer compliance requirements, routing instructions, delivery appointments, and customer portal activities.
• Support the resolution of customer claims, deductions, shortages, damages, and delivery discrepancies.

Logistics and Fulfillment Coordination

• Coordinate outbound shipments with warehouses, carriers, logistics providers, and internal supply chain partners.
• Monitor shipment execution and delivery performance to help ensure orders are delivered on time and in full.
• Investigate and help resolve transportation, warehousing, and fulfillment issues that could affect customer service.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

• Build strong working relationships across Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, and other internal teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen service levels, and reduce operational risk.
• Participate in projects involving system enhancements, process improvements, and operational scalability.
• Contribute ideas and recommendations as you develop greater knowledge of our customers, systems, and operations.

Requirements

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
• 0–2+ years of experience in customer operations, order management, logistics, supply chain, or a related field. Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply but should have relevant internship or co-op experience in one or more of these areas.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to ask questions and take ownership of issues through resolution.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort learning new business systems. Experience with ERP systems, EDI platforms, or customer portals is helpful but not required.
• Ability to work from Newton, MA HQ 4 days a week.

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000, and the position is eligible for overtime. The final salary will be determined based on the selected candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
