Job Description

At Hapag-Lloyd, we will support the further development of your skills in our culturally diverse, stimulating environment as you help us grow our customer base. As the Coordinator of Customer Onboarding, you will facilitate the implementation of the customer agreement within the Hapag Lloyd organization. This includes providing timely responses to customer inquiries; preparing schedule of contacts for customers in the onboarding process and collaborating with sales, finance, operations, and customer service as needed to assure timely execution of service delivery requirement according to the terms & conditions of the customer agreement.

  • Provides full and timely customer service on to customers through the onboarding / remain onboard process.
  • Conduct customer meetings by setting agenda, facilitate onboarding discussion, capture meeting minutes and action items & logging them in Salesforce CRM.
  • Adherence to PREX, Process Excellence, process as available in HIP.
  • Facilitate knowledge share with commercial teams on HL standard & non-standard services
  • Promote the application of HL standards and ensure the documentation of local manuals, policies
  • Provide equitable solutions for HL / Customer.
  • Participate in customer calls, meetings and in-person visits where applicable.
  • Participate and support the global/regional projects related to customer onboarding.
  • Work across departments to communicate customer requirements , investigate root cause issues and implement solutions.
  • Keeps proper archives and maintains files of data as required by ISO9002 where applicable.
  • Maintain current onboarding records and update to SharePoint per global policy .
  • Associate's degree
  • Industry experience with working knowledge across commercial, customer service and operations.

  • Good time management & communication skills.

  • Maintains a network of colleagues across functions and able to build positive relationships.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of FIS and other HL systems, including digital products suite.

  • Knowledge of electronic data interchange (EDI) setup.

  • Reporting & Data analytic skills (a plus).

  • Understanding of Tender / RFP process.

  • Result driven team player with a proactive attitude.

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Receptive and be able to grasp new ideas and motivate oneself for personal development.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite.

  • Knowledge of software, such as Salesforce (Service Analytics), QlikSense.

This position is in the United States and requires eligibility to work in the US and completion of the employment eligibility form required under federal law upon hire.
