You're a naturally curious analyst who enjoys digging deeper into the data to uncover trends, opportunities and insights that others may miss. You thrive on solving complex problems and turning information into practical recommendations that support better decisions and improve outcomes for customers and the transport network.
You'll bring experience in data analytics, customer insights, performance reporting or a related discipline, along with strong technical capability and a passion for evidence-based decision making. You are confident working with large and complex datasets, developing dashboards, visualisations and analytical models that help explain what is happening and why.
You communicate complex information clearly and can tailor your message to a range of audiences, from technical specialists through to senior decision makers. Working collaboratively comes naturally to you, and you're comfortable partnering with data, engineering and business teams to deliver high-quality analytics solutions in a fast-paced environment.
You have strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of relational databases, with the confidence to write and optimise your own queries. You'll also have experience using tools such as Python or R for analysis and Tableau, Power BI or AWS QuickSight for data visualisation. Experience working with platforms and technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, Spark or AWS will be highly regarded.
Whether you're an experienced analyst looking to apply your expertise to large-scale transport challenges or an emerging professional with strong analytical and coding skills, you'll be excited by the opportunity to turn data into insights that influence real-world decisions and improve the journeys of millions of people across NSW.
