Customer Insights Analyst

Reporting to: SVP, Strategic Analytics

Department: Strategic Analytics

Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid)

We’re looking for a Customer Insights Analyst to transform how we understand and predict customer behavior. Embedded within the Strategic Analytics department, you will use data to shape brand development and bring value to customers and business teams. This role sits at the intersection of advanced analytics, customer intelligence, and business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer behavior patterns to identify actionable insights and opportunities for targeted marketing interventions
  • Collaborate with data engineering and BI to ensure data quality and reporting accessibility
  • Define and monitor KPIs that align with business objectives
  • Build conceptual dashboards that track customer journeys and identify optimization opportunities
  • Partner with brand, marketing, and other business teams to translate analytical findings into measurable business impact
  • Tell data-driven stories that convince and influence leaders using clear insights and recommendations
  • Develop predictive models for key business metrics including churn, lifetime value, and propensity scoring
  • Design and run experiments to test hypotheses about customer engagement and measure impact of strategic initiatives

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in data analysis, preferably in a subscription or loyalty focused B2C environment
  • Advanced SQL proficiency (complex queries, window functions, and optimization)
  • Strong statistical foundation with hands-on experience in regression, classification, clustering, and time series analysis
  • Proficiency in Python or R for analysis and modeling
  • Experience with BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, or similar)
  • Proven ability to communicate the results and recommendations of your analysis to senior leadership
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or quantitative field

Technical Skills

  • Experience working with cloud data warehouses and large-scale datasets
  • Proficiency with version control and collaborative development practices
  • Understanding of data pipeline concepts and ETL processes
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and services
  • Knowledge of data governance and security best practices

Nice to Have

  • Experience with customer data platforms or marketing automation
  • Knowledge of machine learning frameworks (scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow)
  • A/B testing and experimental design expertise
  • Familiarity with causal inference methodologies and experimentation techniques
  • Prior experience in travel or hospitality industry

Total Rewards
The base salary range for this role is $110,000 – $130,000 annually for employees based in Boston, MA. Final compensation may vary and will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus and first-class benefits, which include:
