Job Summary

MacLean-Fogg is seeking a Customer Fulfillment Coordinator for our Farmington Hills, Michigan location. In this role, you will coordinate customer orders, inventory, kitting, packaging, and shipping activities to support accurate, on-time fulfillment for OEM, aftermarket, and consumer programs. You'll work closely with customers and cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues, improve processes, and support daily fulfillment operations.

  • Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
  • Pay: $25–$28/hour, based on experience
  • Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly

What You'll Do as a Customer Fulfillment Coordinator

  • Coordinate customer orders from receipt through shipment, including order processing, part kitting, packaging, shipping, and fulfillment activities to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Serve as a primary liaison between customers and internal teams, communicating order status, delivery schedules, delays, and other important updates while resolving customer service and fulfillment concerns.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment of components, finished goods, and packaging materials to support customer requirements and daily operations.
  • Use ERP and order management systems, including JDE and Shopify, to support pricing, order processing, tracking, reporting, information gathering, and troubleshooting.
  • Track project timelines, action items, customer requirements, and deliverables while maintaining accurate work instructions, shipping documentation, inventory records, and other required information.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Logistics to resolve customer complaints, scheduling challenges, and fulfillment issues. Partner with Accounting to investigate and resolve invoice and billing discrepancies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve fulfillment efficiency, inventory accuracy, process effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. Independently resolve complex customer, order, and inventory issues, escalating matters when appropriate.
  • Provide day-to-day work direction, coaching, and mentoring to assigned team members. Maintain an organized work area using 5S standards and follow established safety, environmental, and quality procedures.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma.
  • At least 4 years of experience in customer service, order fulfillment, logistics, supply chain, project coordination, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Experience using ERP and order management systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of customer order processing, fulfillment, inventory management, and logistics processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex customer, order, inventory, and fulfillment issues.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Ability to work independently, coordinate multiple priorities and deadlines, follow work instructions, and identify process improvement opportunities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using JDE and Shopify.
  • Previous experience providing work direction, coaching, training, or mentoring to others.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role combines computer-based coordination and customer service responsibilities with activities in manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, and production environments.

  • Perform computer and administrative work, including remaining in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Frequently move throughout office, warehouse, shipping, and production areas.
  • Operate computers and standard office equipment and communicate with employees, customers, and other stakeholders in person, by telephone, and electronically.
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull materials, packages, or components associated with fulfillment activities.
  • Bend, reach, stoop, and perform other movements necessary to support inventory management, kitting, packaging, and fulfillment activities.
  • Work in manufacturing and warehouse environments and wear required personal protective equipment when entering designated areas.
