Job Description

The Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) Business Line plays a crucial role in developing global broadband access device products, with a focus on FWA and home connectivity solutions. Based in Athens, Greece, the FWA Customer Focus Test team is responsible for the validation of new features, performance and functional regression for 5G FWA products, focusing on the configuration, features and network topologies of our FWA customers (telecom providers). Working in this dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to build your skills in telecommunications, get insight into telecom provider real network deployments and contribute to a great customer product experience.

The organization is evolving. While no final decisions have been taken, Nokia is planning to divest the FWA CPE unit towards end of 2026 and this role is planned to be moving to Inseego Corp. together with the rest of the FWA CPE unit. Please check here for more information!

  • Focusing on key FWA customers, create test plans, test strategy documents and test use cases, deemed necessary to fully cover each customer requirement
  • System level testing of Fixed Wireless Access products and ensuring that the product quality matches customer requirements
  • Perform tests in remote customer test setups, coordinate test activities with local customer teams or perform tests locally in the customer network
  • Test case design/optimization, execution, test results and defect reporting and correction verification
  • Provide customer technical support in case of issues reported by customers during the introduction of newly introduced products or features
  • Work closely with different groups within the organization including the R&D Software and Product Test teams, local customer support teams and Product Management Team.
  • Set up and maintain E2E test setups in a lab environment, resembling real customer setups.
  • Provide training and support to less experienced team members as well as other internal/external stakeholders

Must have:

  • BSc or MSc in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent degree
  • Technical background in telecommunications (wireless or fixed networks), system and network performance test processes, test environment setup and debugging methods
  • Experience in some of 3GPP, 4G/5G mobile cellular or packet core network, TCP/IP, IPv6, WiFi, Ethernet, VLAN, TR069, TR369, QoS, call flows, protocols and technologies
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Dedication and team spirit, self-motivation and ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written English language skills
  • Previous product test or network integration or technical support experience

Nice to have:

  • Experience in 5G/4G Radio Access or Core Network configuration/optimization/verification
  • Hands on test experience in fixed or 4G/5G mobile network CPEs/UEs/ONTs or core network
  • Network engineering and debugging expertise, CCNA/CCNP certification is considered as a plus
