Primary Function of Position:

The Customer Finance Operations Specialist supports the administration of customer finance agreements throughout the contract lifecycle, including customer onboarding, lease billing, contract updates, and end-of-term transactions. Working closely with Sales, Finance, Customer Service, and Accounts Receivable teams, this role helps ensure accurate processing, efficient operations, and a positive customer experience.

  • Amendments
  • Manage the customer onboarding process for new customer finance contracts and maintain customer contact database.
    • Input customer contact information into Salesforce.
    • Partner with Director of Customer Finance to revise Customer Finance onboarding materials and process.
    • Execute onboarding process with each customer.
  • Facilitate and process system moves for Intuitive assets.
    • Coordinate system moves of Intuitive assets by seeking approval from Customer Finance Leadership.
    • Work with Commercial Team and Service Contracts Team to complete necessary agreements that document system moves.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Receivable to ensure timely billing and collections of invoices for Intuitive assets.
    • Lead a bi-weekly Customer Finance Aging call to identify delinquent customers.
    • Align with AR on customers the Customer Finance Manager will be responsible for contacting to resolve billing issues and past due payments.
    • Generate weekly invoices for lease billing through collaboration with AR, Pricing, Revenue, and Customer Service. Send invoices to hospital contact and partner with AR to ensure invoices are paid.
  • Responsible for customer and operations support for the US and Europe.
    • Ability to complete Customer Finance calculator and populate CLM to support the US and European Area Finance Managers.
    • Deep understanding of our business systems to assist internal teams in processing deals (i.e. new transactions, amendments, EOT, etc.).
  • Manage Intuitive’s involvement in the secondary market and facilitate third party buyout events.
    • Complete documents to process buyouts and third-party acquisitions.
    • Assist in the Coordination of System Reprocessing Charges related to Intuitive systems sold and relocated in third-party market.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in Customer Finance, Lease/Contract Administration, or Sales Operations roles
  • Contract and billing knowledge
  • Ability to develop deep understanding of Intuitive’s products and value proposition
  • Awareness and ability to implement best practices in Customer Finance Operations
  • Comfortable working in Excel
  • Desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong collaborator; focus on process integration and optimization
  • Attention to detail and efficiency
  • Ability to discern insights from data analysis and simplify the complex
  • Available for occasional travel, which may include international locations
  • This role requires working onsite in our Sunnyvale, CA office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday every week

Required Education and Training

  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Working knowledge of CLM or similar Salesforce based system
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Understanding of hospital purchasing processes

Compensation will be based primarily on the job level at which the role is filled and the

candidate’s qualifications, consistent with applicable law.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target base compensation ranges are listed.
