
JOB PURPOSE
The Customer Experience and Market Analysis Analyst I supports Lean Six
Sigma process improvements by sourcing and cleaning data; maintaining
databases; and developing visualizations. The role involves data collection,
manipulation, and modeling to analyze operational performance and generate
actionable insights. This position collaborates across all levels of the Customer
Experience and Energy Services teams to improve data-driven program design
and enhance technologies that simplify both employee and customer
experiences. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Assist with collection, cleansing, extracting
and manipulating qualitative data. Utilize configurable tools to identify trends,
patterns, and insights to support the creation of metrics, KPIS, reports,
dashboard and presentations to inform business decisions. Source, verify and
provision data from non-standard sources. Regularly update datasets, maintain
existing dashboards; incorporating new data sources and ensuring continuous
relevance. Develop reports to convey complex data. Provide regular reporting
and analysis findings. Organize, track, and oversee qualitative data and
databases. Perform routine quality checks on existing database asset to ensure
integrity and support issue troubleshooting and remediation. Develop and deploy
advanced methods to analyze operational data insights for stakeholders and
business development partners. Design, develop and implement databases, data
collection systems, data analytics that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
Utilize data collection, analysis and visualizations to support process
improvement, contract management and project management execution
activities. Take notes in analysis meetings, schedule meetings and create data
analysis process documentation. Present findings to technical and non-technical
audiences. Gather, analyze and translate business requirements into analytical
requirements to support project work executed by a cross-functional team of
data analysts, project analysts/coordinators, engineers, IT professionals and end
users. Adhere to established data management and governance standards and
policies to maintain data integrity and security. Provide training sessions and
support. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices. Perform other
duties as assigned.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
A valid driver's license from state of residence is required.
EDUCATION bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering or related field is required.
EXPERIENCE Zero (0) to two (2) years of professional-level experience in Data
Analytics, Data Science, Market Research or related role is required. Must demonstrate basic
proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint and
Power BI or similar data visualization tooIs. Must demonstrate basic knowledge of and proficiency
with quantitative data collection and data visualizations.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Must successfully complete NIMS training within 1 year of entering job.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Works primarily in office.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires sedentary work involving
standing or walking for brief periods, exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular basis; and some dexterity in operating office equipment. Electricity is supplied to MLGW by the Tennessee Valley Authority, while natural gas is purchased from a variety of suppliers and transported by three pipeline companies — Texas Gas Transmission Corporation, Trunkline Gas Company and ANR Pipeline Company.
