WP Engine is looking for a motivated Customer Development Representative that has experience in establishing, fostering and maintaining relationships with both highly technical and leadership level contacts.

Those relationships should uncover opportunities to deploy WP Engine through outbound prospecting and net-new lead generation.

The Day to Day

  • Research and catalog contact, account and opportunity information.

  • Build relationships with existing accounts and decrease dormancy across our account base.

  • Use effective sales techniques to uncover customer needs that can be addressed through our solutions.

  • Articulate the benefits of using our solutions to prospects across an array of industries.

  • Work to schedule quality meetings and opportunities to consistently over achieve quota.

Your Expertise and Passion

  • Possesses a strong desire for continuous professional growth and a clear ambition to master sales development as a launchpad into a closing sales role.

  • Highly receptive to feedback with a demonstrated ability to actively seek out, absorb, and immediately apply constructive criticism to sharpen sales skills.

  • Demonstrates an innate, performance-driven mindset with the grit to navigate rejection constructively and maintain high energy in a fast-paced environment.

  • A proactive self-starter with a strong work ethic and a proven track record of over-achieving goals.

  • Prior sales or outbound prospecting experience required. Exposure to structured methodologies (e.g., Solution Selling, Customer-Centric Selling, Sandler, or SPIN) is highly advantageous.

  • Proven ability to engage prospects, command attention, and build rapport seamlessly across various channels, including phone, video conferencing, email, and LinkedIn.

  • Experience navigating Salesforce.com or equivalent CRM applications to efficiently manage and track pipeline activity.
