We are looking for a Customer Development Manager – Indirect Trade (IDT) Local SPM who will drive sustainable growth in sales, profitability, market share and product distribution. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our commercial strategy, building strong partnerships and elevating execution in-store.
As the Customer Development Manager – Indirect Trade (IDT), you will:
- Lead and grow our Indirect Trade business in Local SPMs with a focus on sustainable, profitable growth
- Strengthen organizational effectiveness and efficiency through best-in-class execution
- Be a key partnerto internal and external stakeholders to win at the point of purchase
Key Responsibilities
- Build and support a strong partnership between Colgate-Palmolive and the Local SPM in Istanbul to achieve sales targets
- Lead negotiations for:
- New product listings
- Planograms and shelf layouts
- In-store displays
- Promotion execution at regional and/or store level
- Collaborate with the Shopper Development Manager to:
- Develop tools and merchandising materials
- Design impactful in-store programs
- Drive effective shelf management that converts shoppers into buyers
- Clearly communicate in-store objectives and ensure excellent execution of the 5Ps:
- Product availability
- Assortment by store format
- Shelf pricing (regular and promotional)
- Promotion implementation vs. plan
- Share of shelf, planogram compliance and POP placement
- Monitor 5P compliancevs. objectives, track performance, and identify gaps and opportunities
- Run rigorous pre-evaluation (what-if) analysis of 5P activities, leveraging cross-functional input (e.g., Finance, Customer Logistics)
- Conduct post-activity evaluations, compare with pre-analysis, and explain variances and learnings
- Manage and monitor distributors’ inventories and stock availability to avoid out-of-stocks and maximize opportunities
- Collaborate with key stakeholderson additional strategic and operational initiatives
- Ensure full compliance with Colgate-Palmolive policies and standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relative area
- Minimum 5 years of Customer Management experience in the FMCG industry, ideally in a similar category/channel
- Fluent in English and Turkish
