Job Description

Do you know how to turn customer insight into commercial results?

As customer expectations evolve and new technologies create new opportunities, Fortum is strengthening how we acquire, serve and grow our customer base.

We are looking for a Manager, Customer Acquisition & Growth to lead the development of our sales channels and commercial partnerships in Norway, driving growth through strong commercial execution, customer insight and data-driven decision making.

About the role

As the Nordic region’s most chosen electricity provider, Fortum has ambitious plans for continued growth in both existing and new markets. In Norway, you will play a key role in making that happen.

As Manager, Customer Acquisition & Growth, you will be responsible for developing our sales channels and partnerships and driving commercial performance across our B2B business. A key part of the role is to continuously develop how we reach and serve customers as their needs and expectations change.

You will work closely with colleagues across Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Business, Digital and Analytics. Digitalization, data and AI are central to our strategy, and you will help turn these capabilities into meaningful improvements for our customers and our business.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and develop our sales channels and commercial partnerships
  • Drive commercial performance and identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Use customer insight and data to improve decisions and customer journeys
  • Drive the development of how we reach, meet and serve our customers
  • Turn business priorities and opportunities within digitalization and AI into commercial action
  • Create results together with internal and external partners

Norway is your primary market, but you will be part of a Nordic team working closely together. We share experience, challenges and ideas and look for opportunities to develop solutions together. You will take part in Nordic leadership gatherings and travel when needed to meet partners and colleagues. Our growing businesses in markets such as Poland and Spain also give us new perspectives and opportunities to learn – and to share what works well in our own markets.

About you

We’re looking for someone with solid commercial experience who combines a strong customer perspective with the ability to turn ideas and opportunities into results.

You bring:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Business, Marketing, Economics or a related field
  • 7–10 years of experience from sales, commercial development, customer growth or a similar commercial role, including commercial leadership experience
  • Leadership experience and the ability to create results through others
  • Strong understanding of digital customer journeys, including lead generation and CRM systems
  • Experience using data and customer insight to drive commercial decisions
  • Experience working with commercial partners or partner-led sales models
  • An interest in digitalization and AI and how they can create value for customers and the business
  • Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English

Experience from B2B or working in a matrix organization is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Who you are

  • You are curious, commercially minded and comfortable taking responsibility. You bring structure to complex challenges, set clear priorities and know how to turn plans into progress. You build strong relationships across functions and are comfortable driving initiatives involving different teams and stakeholders.
  • Change feels natural to you. You are comfortable challenging how things are done today – and equally open to being challenged yourself. You don’t need to have all the answers. What matters is that you know how to use the competence around you and turn it into action.
  • We aim high and care about delivering great results – but how we get there matters too. We support each other, value different perspectives and believe the best results are created together. We believe great results and having fun at work go hand in hand. We hope you agree!

We offer you

At Fortum, we believe in a better future and want to be involved in shaping it. Our workplace is a safe place, both physically and mentally. You will grow with professional colleagues, being trusted and free to challenge yourself. We offer comprehensive benefits, flexible working hours, and hybrid work model to support your productivity, development and wellbeing. We are committed to build diverse teams where everyone feels included and is treated equally.
