Detailed Job description:
You will be part of an architecture and solution design team responsible for defining and evolving end-to-end business and technology solutions that support organizational objectives and strategic initiatives. The role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, product teams, architects, designers, and engineering teams to translate business needs into scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
As a senior architect, you will help assess new initiatives, shape solution approaches, define functional and non-functional requirements, and support delivery teams throughout the solution lifecycle. You will contribute to improving solution quality, operational efficiency, scalability, resilience, reusability, and cost effectiveness.
Must have:
Experience designing solutions using:
1. RESTful APIs
2. Microservices architecture
3. Cloud-native architecture on AWS including serverless architecture patterns
4. Event-driven architecture
Key Responsibilities:
Assess new business initiatives and change requests and provide high-level solution options, assumptions, risks, and rough order of magnitude (ROM) estimates.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, designers, and engineering teams to gather and analyze requirements.
Define end-to-end solution architectures that align business objectives with technology capabilities.
Identify and document functional and non-functional requirements.
Develop solution designs that adhere to enterprise architecture standards, principles, and best practices.
Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, reusable, maintainable, and cost effective.
Work closely with technical teams to establish architecture guardrails, design standards, and implementation approaches.
Support prioritization, planning, and delivery activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Facilitate solution reviews and provide guidance during development, testing, deployment, and production support.
Support root cause analysis and resolution of complex business or technology issues.
Identify opportunities for innovation, optimization, automation, and continuous improvement.
Core Competencies
Essential:
Strong experience in designing enterprise-scale business and technology solutions.
Proven ability to translate business requirements into practical and scalable solution designs.
Strong understanding of distributed systems, integration patterns, APIs, cloud technologies, and modern architecture principles.
Experience defining and managing non-functional requirements such as security, scalability, performance, availability, and maintainability.
Ability to communicate architectural concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience producing architectural artifacts using industry-standard modeling approaches and frameworks like C4 Model, UML
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.
Experience working within Agile, Lean, Scrum, Kanban, or similar delivery methodologies.
Preferred
Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and governance processes.
Experience with digital transformation, modernization, or platform-based initiatives.
Understanding of customer-centric product development and service design practices.
Exposure to emerging technologies, automation, AI-enabled solutions, and modern software engineering practices.
