Job purpose:

In order to cope with increasing business needs, we are looking for a custody service back-office Team leader to join our fast-growing department.

Responsibilities would be, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Be responsible for taking charge of the back-office team of custody business.
  • Perform A-to-Z process of Global Custodian tax services, such as customer tax profile setup, certificate collection, exemption, reclaim, etc.
  • Responsible for A-to-Z process of Corporate Action, Proxy voting and Income events.
  • Responsible for safekeeping customer assets.
  • Responsible for the execution of clients’ cash and security transaction settlement and resolves any issue.
  • Responsible for reconciliation of securities and/or cash discrepancies in an accurate timely manner.
  • Other tasks assigned by the department.

Qualifications

Profile (Technical Skills):

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Banking or Business-Related Studies.
  • More than 5 years of working experience in custody back-office operation. Experience in Fund Depositary Services/Fund administration, Network, Broker/Dealer will be an advantage.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Fluency in English is essential. Chinese or other languages will be an advantage.
  • Good numerical and IT skills; Familiar with SQL, Access, Python, or SWIFT will be beneficial.
  • In-depth knowledge of global custodian industry.
  • Expertise in at least one of the following global custodian operations areas: Settlement, Corporate Actions or Tax.
  • Expertise in using S.W.I.F.T.
  • Knowledge in Olympic System is an advantage.
  • Knowledge/Experience in Fund Depositary Services/Fund administration will be an advantage.
