Job Description

Meadow Gold Dairy in Boise, Idaho has an immediate job opening for a dependable Custodian/Groundskeeper to clean, sanitize the interior/exterior building.

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

***Must have a valid current driver's license***

  • Maintain a safe and clean internal building appearance through good housekeeping, organization, and management of walking surfaces
  • Follow work schedules to complete all required cleaning and sanitizing, and complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders
  • Perform custodian duties, such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, picking up debris, emptying trash cans and recycling, and general cleaning; these activities may include using equipment such as floor sweepers, polishers, vacuum cleaners, and dusters
  • Maintain all restrooms, locker rooms, breakrooms, and footbaths in a sanitary manner; replenish supplies and paper products in break room and restrooms
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning and other supplies; notify appropriate contact or update supply sheet to re-order supplies
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of exterior of building; maintain outdoor facilities and grounds, which may involve operating a variety of power equipment for general grounds maintenance
  • Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests
  • Use chemicals to sanitize and clean the facility
  • Perform related duties as requested by environmental health and safety (EHS), maintenance, management, or other staff members (e.g., help to coordinate and/or prepare for inspections and special events)
  • Distribute personal protective equipment (PPE) when needed
  • Follow all safety requirements and wear proper PPE
  • Implement all DFA GMP’s and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements. Inform QA personnel of any quality issues

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Janitorial or cleaning experience required
  • Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment
  • ***Valid Driver's license required***

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals
  • Able to work safely and follow established policies and procedures
  • Able to follow directions and carry out instructions with little supervision
  • Able to legibly write entries for record keeping
  • Able to perform simple math
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
