Custodian - Special ProjectsResponsible for the maintenance, cleaning and upkeep of the buildings and grounds. Responsible for hard floor, carpet care and upkeep in all school District facilities. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Frequent lifting twenty (20) to fifty (50) pounds • Occasional lifting fifty (50) to one hundred (100) pounds • Frequent extensive walking, bending, reaching, stooping, climbing, kneeling • Occasional squatting, standing, sitting, crawling.
ESSENTIAL ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Mostly clean and comfortable, occasional dirt and dust, temperature extremes, noise, some
hazardous materials and situations, some odors and fumes
Ensure the general safety of the Public by removing snow and ice from the walkways, entries and play areas as required.
Promote learning environment by performing maintenance, cleaning, and setup requests, within Custodial responsibilities, generated by Building Staff.
Support facility operations by responding to emergency needs such as water mitigation, graffiti, and custodial vacancies
Specialize in restorative care for all floor surfaces
Support the District needs by flexible shift times.
Perform general repairs as assigned
Contribute to the overall success of District Facilities by performing other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned
Sanitize, Disinfect, schools desks, and playground equipment at all times.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
Ensure the overall cleanliness, maintenance and sanitation of the facility, grounds and equipment maintaining a high standard of safety and efficiency.
Support all scheduling and coordinate with Group Leader and Building Administrator, work activities of custodial personnel and contact services as assigned.
Utilize positive techniques to supervise and evaluate assigned personnel.
Support all District sustainability policies
Exhibit a working knowledge of facility operations including electrical, gas/water controls and Heating Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and related equipment.
Assist all emergency operations personnel as required.
Ensure all inspections on building, ground and equipment are done weekly or as assigned
