Job Scope/Position Description:
The Custodian performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in buildings and facilities located on the Robins Air Force Base. This position is a part of the AbilityOne Program and is intended for individuals with a documented significant disability. The role ensures cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance standards are consistently met in accordance with contract requirements.
Duties:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the major duties.
· Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, offices, hallways, and other assigned areas
· Empty and clean trash containers and recycle bins
· Sweep, mop, vacuum, and/or scrub floors using manual or powered equipment
· Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, windows, and blinds
· Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue
· Report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or equipment malfunctions
· Follow safety guidelines, SDS protocols, and security procedures
· Operate janitorial equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and carpet extractors
· Perform exterior cleaning such as sidewalk sweeping or trash pickup when required
· Participate in periodic deep cleaning or project work
Experience Requirements:
Previous experience in custodial preferred. Experience working on military installation is a plus.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma, Special Education Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, or equivalent preferred. Basic reading and writing skills required.

Since then, Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA has grown to over 700 individuals on payroll and 14 value retail stores.
