Job Description

POSITION: Custodian

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS (include but not limited to the following):

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of custodial practices.
• Skill in operating cleaning and other equipment, and their procedures
• Familiarity with and ability to utilize hand and power tools.
• Familiarity with the proper use of chemicals.
• Ability to work on ladders or elevated platforms not to exceed 10' in height.
• Ability to engage others with understanding and empathy.
• Must be flexible with a positive attitude.
• Routinely able to lift 50 lbs.

DUTIES (include but not limited to the following):

• Housekeeping,custodial care and cleaning of building

• Maintenance of grounds

• General maintenance of building
• Electrical, plumbing and carpentry maintenance
• Report need for equipment or physical plant repairs.
• Check stock, supplies and keep record as needed.

• Perform other duties as described in the position description

  DEPARTMENT: Maintenance

  WORK DAYS/HOURS: Monday � Friday 3:00 p.m. � 11:00 p.m

SALARY: As Per Schedule

In addition to the requirements listed above, the following qualifications shall be considered in evaluating an applicant for possible employment for this position: an applicant's varied work-experience; one's training and/or education; and, one's adaptability to work with children and/or adults with developmental disabilities. Maintain valid driver's license in state of residence and maintain a clean driving abstract.
