Pay: $17.75 per hour
Work schedule: Full time, Monday – Friday, 6 am-2:30 pm

Work with a purpose! Management & Training Corporation (MTC) proudly operates the Otero County Processing Center in Chaparral, New Mexico. We provide a safe and secure working environment for our staffwhile helping detainees gain valuable skills and treatment necessary for success upon release.

What you’ll do: You’ll be responsible for overall general custodial tasks and keeping assigned areas of facility clean and in an orderly condition.

Essential functions:

1. Maintain the grounds and inside the facility, by removing and disposing of litter and debris.
2. Perform general labor and maintain facility appearance by cleaning hallways, dining area, bathrooms and other areas of the facility as assigned.
3. Lift, carry, open, and unpack boxes using hand truck or dolly, if necessary.
4. Move furniture, strip, refinish, and buff floors.
5. Perform specific janitorial duties by squatting and bending to perform such functions.

Education and experience requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) year of general janitorial experience preferred.
• Must successfully complete pre-service training.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of New Mexico or Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
