Job Description

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety throughout the manufacturing facility. This role ensures all work areas, common spaces, and restrooms meet company standards for cleanliness while supporting a safe and efficient production environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, and production areas
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors in both office and industrial spaces
• Empty trash, recycling, and scrap bins; dispose of waste properly
• Clean and maintain machinery surfaces, workstations, and high-touch areas
• Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
• Follow proper procedures for handling industrial cleaning chemicals
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns to leadership
• Support general housekeeping needs across departments as assigned
• Maintain compliance with company safety policies and OSHA standards

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous custodial, janitorial, or industrial cleaning experience preferred
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment (hot, cold, noisy, etc.)
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety practices
• Strong attention to detail and reliability

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs
• Ability to work on feet for extended periods
• Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Industrial manufacturing facility
• Non-climate controlled areas (exposure to heat, cold, dust, and noise)
• May require use of PPE (gloves, safety glasses, etc.)
• May require travel to off site warehouse 1-2 times per week.
