Job Description

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout the facility. This includes cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, lunchrooms, and meeting rooms; replenishing supplies; setting up meeting spaces; and assisting with janitorial inventory.

• Prepare meeting rooms before and after scheduled events.
• Inventory and replenish janitorial and maintenance supplies.
• Clean and sanitize lunchrooms, including tables, counters, and floors.
• Wipe and clean refrigerators and microwaves inside and out; defrost refrigerators monthly.
• Clean, polish, and disinfect drinking fountains.
• Thoroughly clean manufacturing restrooms, including sanitizing fixtures and replenishing supplies.
• Empty trash and recycling containers in designated areas; replace liners and clean exteriors as needed.
• Empty outdoor trash containers and maintain cleanliness in parking lot areas.
• Spot-clean walls, doors, and light switches in lunchrooms and restrooms.
• Check and replace burned-out light bulbs in office areas.
• Maintain good housekeeping.
• Operate cleaning equipment and tools safely and according to procedures.
• Comply with all safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures.
• Rotate to other positions as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.

• Basic mechanical aptitude for operating cleaning equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret standard work instructions and safety guidelines.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Problem-solving, adaptability, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate respectfully in a team setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
• Training timeline for this position is up to 2 weeks.
